Changes Due To COVID
Phoenix Therapy is committed to your health and safety.
Myofascial release and massage requires skin-to-skin contact so we need to take extra measures during this time to ensure everyone’s well-being is secure.
Phoenix Therapy follows Practice Guidelines recommended by the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), along with infection control recommendations made by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). In addition, we will follow all protocols recommended by New York State and Purchase College while on campus.
Some of the guidelines listed below are:
- Using cleaning products on the OSHA and CDC approved list
- Leaving 30 minutes between each session to allow enough time for thorough cleaning & disinfecting of all equipment before next use.
- Everyone who is to enter the workspace will be required to wear a face covering. In addition, the practitioner will have goggles and a face shield.
- Please check your temperature the day of appointment. If you are above 100 degrees, we will need to reschedule.
- Please text if you begin to experience any Covid related symptoms. If you feel ill on the day of your session, there is no penalty for canceling your appointment. Massage is not advised if you have any symptoms of illness.
- If you have been exposed or possibly exposed to someone with Covid-19, please notify Phoenix Therapy so your session can be cancelled.
- Please bring a face mask to use while you are in the building, and during your MFR/massage.
- Please wash your hands or use the hand sanitizer I provide for you when you enter the work space.
